Additional Doses of Synergy

Unfortunately, most marketing books advise you to abandon your present marketing actions and replace these with new “bigger and better” options. In reality, if you do not have time to market, you are not likely to replace present activities. You must make these activities more effective.

For example, perhaps you are participating in a lead generation activity. This activity could be newspaper advertisements or telemarketing efforts. What do you do with the leads that are not of value to you? Perhaps they would like to purchase but are not in your price range or are not interested in your site’s location.

There is a saying—someone’s trash is another person’s treasure. Find out who would be interested in these leads and find out what this potential synergy marketing partner could do to increase your revenue. Perhaps they would advertise to their sphere of influence on your behalf. The point is that you have spent good money and time generating these leads. If you do not get something in return for them, you are wasting synergy.

If you do not feel that you can identify a vendor or competitor who would be interested in a lead exchange program, let me know. I feel that my contacts will be beneficial to you in this regard.
