The Concept of 1435....

The concept of 1435 is taken from Dave Hershman’s work–More Income With Less Stress.  It is meant to make everyone understand the limitations of time.  If you waste five minutes each day–you will have exactly 1435 minutes left.  No more, no less.  Everyone starts the date with the same amount of minutes.  It is what we accomplish during these minutes that define who we are as individuals.

With this in mind, the last time management tip is to schedule what you need to do.  If you look at your calendar, you will see many appointments such as doctors’ appointments, lunches, etc.  But are your priorities listed as appointments in your calendar?  If you need to call previous customers, have you scheduled the time to do such?  If you schedule time in your calendar, you are much more likely to accomplish the task.

We tend to do the things we list in our calendars.  We also tend to forget the things that are important to us that are not in our calendar.  As part of your daily planning, make sure your calendar coincides with your priorities.

Time is definitely a limited resource.  Top producers, by definition, must accomplish more than the average population with their allocation of minutes.  Everyone can improve their performance and lower their stress levels if they do so in a way that maximizes the use of this precious resource.

I hope that this series has helped you understand and perhaps implement some of these time management pointers.  I also hope you can see that my interest in being your partner is why I spend time disseminating material that will add value to your life.

I will call you in the next week to get your feedback on this series regarding time management.  As with everything in life–it can be improved and I hope that you will contribute to the process.
